If you have a positive pregnancy test, it’s time to consider your options. You may think you don’t have any other choice but abortion, but there are other possibilities. Schedule an appointment with Life Center or just stop by today (walk-ins welcome), let’s sit down and talk about your options together.
Abortion
If you’re considering abortion, remember that abortion is a serious medical procedure. What type will you have? What are the risks? You deserve to know the facts. You owe it to yourself to make an informed decision.
Perhaps you’re thinking:
- The father is insisting on an abortion.
- I’m all by myself.
- I can’t tell anyone I’m pregnant.
We know exactly how you feel, and you’re not alone. Many of our staff have been where you are. If you’re contemplating abortion, you need to get the answers to these questions:
- What types of abortions are there?
- What are my rights with abortion providers?
- Are there any short-term or long-term risks to consider?
We can help you answer every one of the questions.
Is there anything I need to do first?
Yes, you’ll need to know several things before an abortion can be performed. Make sure you have the answers to the following:
- Are you really pregnant? Were you tested at our Center?
- Is your pregnancy healthy? Or, are you at risk for natural miscarriage? Do you have a tubal pregnancy (ectopic pregnancy) requiring immediate medical attention?
- How far along are you?
At the LIFE Center, we can answer those questions for you. Through our free lab-certified pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, you can be confident you’re getting the most accurate information. We can help also discuss your pregnancy, your health, and explain your abortion options.
Adoption
With adoption, the birth family makes all of the decisions. You decide who the adoptive family will be. Will you choose open or closed adoption? Will it be private, or will you use an agency? You are in the driver’s seat when making an adoption plan.
Perhaps you’re thinking:
- I don’t want an abortion, but I’m not ready to be a parent.
- My child should grow up with a Mom and a Dad.
- I want my child to be emotionally and financially stable.
In today’s adoptions, you can know your child and be a part of your child’s life. You can have the peace of knowing your child is loved and cared for by the couple you choose.
Is there anything I need to do first?
We can help you understand your options with adoption. We’ll refer you to professionals who can speak to you about the pros and cons. You can join online groups that discuss their experiences openly. Like the others, adoption is a difficult choice, but a very rewarding one too.
Parenting
You may have more questions than answers about parenting. Maybe the thought of becoming a parent seems impossible to you at this time. We’ve talked to hundreds of clients who were concerned about the same things.
Perhaps You’re Thinking:
- My husband or boyfriend doesn’t want the baby, but I do
- As the father, you also have a voice. My girlfriend doesn’t want the baby, but I do.
- I can’t tell my family.
- How will I finish school?
- How will I continue working?
- Where will I live?
- I don’t have medical insurance.
- I can’t afford a child.
- I’m too young.
These are legitimate questions and thoughts. Parenting is a hard choice, but you would be surprised at how many women are successfully doing it. We can talk about all these issues with you.
